Phineas is committed to promoting environmentally friendly manufacturing practices wherever possible. We reuse and recycle hangers and other Phineas products, and we encourage our retailers to help us in our recycling efforts.
Recycling is the social and environmental responsibility of any manufacturer, which is why we at Phineas are dedicated to the sustainable recycling of our clips and plastic or cardboard hanger range. Every Phineas hanger is marked with a recycling code, and we ask that retailers keep the hangers when they sell the products attached. We collect Phineas hangers from these shops and will either reuse them in the Phineas supply chain or convert them into reprocessed material, which will then be recycled to create new hangers.
All Phineas shoe hanging products are reusable or recyclable; most of these are made from Polystyrene or Polypropylene and we can accept a mixture of steel, rubber and paper or plastic labels for recycling purposes. We also advise our retailers to buy peelable labels and reusable sizers which can be used in our recycle program.
Recycling our hangers isn?t our only environmentally friendly initiative; we are constantly working to reduce our carbon footprint through efficient manufacturing and transport processes. We recycle hangers in order to reduce waste output and operate as a more ethical, eco-friendly business.
